EMface has a dedicated eye applicator, which BTL states is FDA-cleared in the US for aesthetic use. We run it alongside the forehead and cheek applicators at our clinic at 8 Devonshire Place, so the brow, the eye area and the crepey skin at the outer corners are treated in the same session. Nothing goes through the skin, and you go straight back to work.
What it does
The eye applicator is made specifically for the area around the eyes. The brow lift from the forehead applicator does part of the work by opening the eye area, and the eye applicator works on the skin below and beside it. BTL launched it in January 2025.
What it does not do
Dark circles from pigment or thin skin do not change with EMface; the clinician will advise on those at your free consultation. A fat pad under the eye is not removed either, and a heavy, hanging lid is more than EMface lifts. What can improve is lax, crepey skin, hollows that look deeper because the skin above has dropped, and the lines at the outer corners.
The evidence so far
The eye applicator is new and no peer-reviewed study of it alone has been published yet; the US clearance summary for it reports no clinical study of its own. The closest published evidence is a 2025 study of 37 patients treated on the upper face, in which the lines at the outer corner of the eye improved at every visit and the brow sat 2 to 3 mm higher at 24 weeks. Because it is the newest part of EMface, the clinician looks at your eye area at the free consultation and tells you what to expect before you commit.
Sessions and what to expect
The eye applicator is run in the same four sessions as the forehead and cheeks, about a week apart; it does not add sessions. You feel pulses and a warmth under the pad, and the clinician sets the energy to a level you can hold comfortably. The skin is a little pink for ten to twenty minutes afterwards and makeup is fine straight away. The main change shows six to twelve weeks after the last session, with the after photograph at three months, and the result holds for around twelve months for most people in our experience.
